We were intrigued by the thought provoking submissions and the various takes on the theme. Artists hailed from Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, India, Israel, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mexico, Panama, Portugal, the Russian Federation, Taiwan, United Kingdom, and the United States.

Among the themes that the artists touched on were spectator and spectacle, performer and witness, the dichotomy between public and private, technology as a uniter and barrier to experience, time as the ultimate boundary, the movements and lives of migrants and those living along tense geographic borders. Others focused on the medium and breaking visual expectations and our ways of seeing.

We are very pleased to announce that Jeffry David Miller is the Purchase Award Winner for Boundaries. We will be acquiring his work titled, View 6, which is part of his series titled 6 Views from 12655 Bluff Creek Drive, #416, Playa Vista, CA.
