We want to thank all of the artists who submitted to Twenty Twenty. We received works from painters, photographers, printmakers, pyrographers, mixed media artists, digital artists, textile artists, and sculptors. Artists hailed from Australia, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, France, Germany, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Korea, Malaysia, Nigeria, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Russian Federation, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and United States.
We are always looking for artists whose work we wish to promote and support.
As we consider work for inclusion in CollexArt, we are interested in the idea and concepts behind your work and its execution. Factors such as prior accomplishments, education, the creation date of the work are not relevant in our selection process.
What inspires our curiosity may be unique to us, and therefore, not being selected should not be seen as anything other than not a match for our current selection criteria and mix of reviewers.
The year 2020 has presented the world with a unique combination of challenges on a global, national and personal scale. Social conflicts abound, there are serious concerns about our environment, and a global pandemic is reshaping our lives. We seek artwork created in response to these challenges or artwork that you created in the past that has taken on new meaning in light of 2020.
Consider submitting work that can communicate our experience to future generations whether it be from a personal perspective or a broad statement for the planet. Open to all media except moving images (i.e. video, gifs, movies).
One artist will be awarded the Purchase Award at the conclusion of this call (see previous winners).
Submitting artists (including the Purchase Award winner) may be invited to have their own in-depth Artist Profile Page, have their work included in the CollexArt Store and in the curated Online Exhibit Space.
This award identifies a single artwork as the best of the year. The Grand Prize will be awarded in March of 2021. Artists who are selected for Purchase Awards, Artist Profile Pages, Exhibit Space in CollexArt or for the CollexArt store are registered as finalists for the prize.
Artists whose work catches the attention of the curators, but who do not receive a Purchase Award or an Artist Profile Page, may be invited for exposure in the CollexArt Submission Highlights Forum.
All participants are eligible for a complimentary one year CollexArt membership. Those just starting out, and who have never had a professional artist portfolio website can request a CollexArt sponsored website for a year (domain name is not included).
The Purchase Award is intended to support the selected artists with meaningful recognition as part of the CollexArt Private Patron Collection. When submitting artwork to this call for entry, you can identify artwork for the Purchase Award and/or for CollexArt Exhibition.
The Purchase Award of $1000 will be given to one artist. If an artwork you tagged for the Purchase Award is selected for this award, you understand that the CollexArt Patrons intend to acquire your work for $1,000. Artists submitting for the Purchase Award should value their work in accordance with prior sales history or the amount a gallery would pay for your work without their commission fee added.
CollexArt pays for the shipping of all artwork acquired through the Purchase Award. In the case of an international acquisition, CollexArt Patrons pay for customs and importation fees.
In the rare case that no artist is identified as the Purchase Award winner, at the conclusion of a call for entry, CollexArt will refund all artist submission fees.
