We thank all of the artists who submitted and commend the efforts of each artist who took part in the call. Artist hailed from Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Finland, France, Germany, India, Iran, Israel, Japan, Portugal, Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and United States.
We are always looking for artists whose work we wish to promote and support.
Our Approach
As we consider work for inclusion in CollexArt, we are interested in the idea and concepts behind your work and its execution. Factors such as prior accomplishments, education, the creation date of the work are not relevant in our selection process.
What inspires our curiosity may be unique to us, and therefore, not being selected should not be seen as anything other than not a match for our current selection criteria and mix of reviewers.
Art Call
CollexArt invites all artists 18 and over to submit small 2D or 3D works. We encourage a broad interpretation of the theme Big Ideas / Small Works (e.g. you may be focused on social/political issues, the environment, ideas revolving around scale, personal narrative, color studies). No matter your focus, the CollexArt curators are interested in a cohesive submission that clearly shows your thought process and approach.
CollexArt is a curated online gallery. Many artists featured in CollexArt have received an award such as a Purchase Award, an Artist Profile Page award, an Online Exhibit or a Sponsored Artist Website. Selected artists are often invited to sell their work through the CollexArt online art store.
- $1000 Purchase Award (with the possibility of more)*
The Purchase Award is intended to support the selected artist/s with meaningful recognition as part of the CollexArt Private Patron Collection. We will award a Purchase Award of $1000 at the conclusion of the call and the award may grow up to $2000. We reserve the right to identify more than one Purchase Award winner. - Ability to Offer Your Work for Sale in CollexArt and a Dedicated Artist Page
Submitting artists (including the Purchase Award winner/s) may be invited to have their own in-depth Artist Profile Page, have their work included in the CollexArt Store and in the curated Online Exhibit Space. - Sponsored Artist Websites
3 artists will be awarded one year of FolioLink artist website service. This award is intended to help artists who would benefit from a sponsored website.
* Purchase Award
If you are a Purchase Award winner you understand that the CollexArt Patrons intend to acquire your work. Artists submitting for the Purchase Award should value their work in accordance with prior sales history or the amount a gallery would pay for the work without their commission fee added. In the case of an international acquisition, CollexArt Patrons pay for customs and importation fees.
Rules & Guidelines
Eligibility
- Open to all USA and International artists 18 years and older
- Accepting all original visual media 2D and 3D media excluding video, film and animated Gifs
- Artwork up to 24 inches
Submitted Work
- All submissions must be original artwork conceived and produced by the artist
- All submissions must be free from copyright infringement
- If submitting photography we will ask for release forms if needed
- Only digital files are accepted through the CollexArt submission system (powered by SubmitArts)
- Images must be saved and submitted as JPGs
- Images must be no larger than 1920 pixels on the longest side and no smaller 960 pixels
- Images must be 5MB or less
Entry Fee
The entry fee is $35.00 for up to 6 images and $2 each for each additional image up to 10 images in total. You can request to apply the $35 submission fee towards a CollexArt membership. Submission fees are not refundable.

Copyright
Artists maintain all copyrights to submitted artwork. Artists grant permission to Kodexio (CollexArt developer / owner) to store submission images and related collected data for submission management purposes and to offer jurors a way to review and select submissions.
Submitted Work Image Usage Rights
If your work is selected for a CollexArt award or any other type of recognition and or benefit (artist profile, sponsored website, etc.), you grant Kodexio (CollexArt developer / owner) and CollexArt Art Patrons (independent CollexArt Collection owners) a license to use your submission to promote and showcase its website, activities, locations, and to achieve its mission. Therefore, you grant Kodexio and CollexArt Art Patrons a non-exclusive, royalty free, irrevocable, worldwide perpetual license to use, publish, modify, adapt, translate, create derivative works, distribute and display your work and submission information, including your name and Country/State/Province, in their related websites, advertising, and promotional materials.
