This art call has no specific theme, allowing artists the freedom to explore subject matter and ideas that are meaningful to them. We encourage artists to submit works that convey the concepts behind their creations, along with an artist statement that supports their work. Please submit between 3 and 20 pieces of artwork in any medium except video, film, animated GIFs, and AI-generated images. Artists have the option to identify any or all of their pieces for the $1,000 Purchase Award awarded at the conclusion of this call. Additionally, all entries will be considered for the Grand Prize Award of $5,000*, which will recognize the most outstanding artwork of our 12-month competition cycle to be awarded in March 2025.
AWARDS and Participation Benefits
Purchase Award of $1,000*
One artist will be awarded the Purchase Award at the conclusion of this call. Please read more about the Purchase Award below as it is an acquisition prize.
The CollexArt Grand Prize of $5,000 – will identify a single artwork as the best of the year. The Grand Prize will be awarded in March of 2025. The prize will go towards the acquisition of the artwork, including if applicable, production, framing, shipping and customs costs.
$1,770 in Artist Websites Powered by FolioLink
5 artists will be awarded one-year of FolioLink artist website service which includes the option to renew at a discounted subscription rate after the first year.
CollexArt Store and a Dedicated Artist Page
Submitting artists may be invited to be featured in our Artist Profile Pages, have their work included in the CollexArt Store and in the curated Online Exhibit Space.
Additional Artist Exposure
Artists whose work catches the attention of the curators, but who do not receive a Purchase Award or an Artist Profile Page, may be invited for exposure in CollexArt Submission Highlights.
About The Purchase Award
The Purchase Award is intended to support the selected artists with meaningful recognition as part of the CollexArt Private Patron Collection. When submitting artwork to this call for entry, you can identify artwork for the Purchase Award and/or for CollexArt Exhibition.
The Purchase Award of $1000 will be given to one artist. If an artwork you tagged for the Purchase Award is selected for this award, you understand that the CollexArt Patrons intend to acquire your work for $1,000. Artists submitting for the Purchase Award should value their work in accordance with prior sales history or the amount a gallery would pay for your work without their commission fee added.
CollexArt pays for the shipping of all artwork acquired through the Purchase Award. In the case of an international acquisition, CollexArt Patrons pay for customs and importation fees.
Please note that it is possible that one person is awarded both the Grand Prize Award and the Purchase Award.
Rules & Guidelines
Eligibility
- Open to all USA and International artists 18 years and older
- Accepting all original visual media excluding video, film and animated Gifs
Submitted Work
- All submissions must be original artwork conceived and produced by the artist
- All submissions must be free from copyright infringement
- If submitting photography we will ask for release forms if needed
- Only digital files are accepted through the CollexArt submission system (powered by SubmitArts)
- Images must be saved and submitted as JPGs
- Images must be no larger than 2000 pixels on the longest side
- Images must be 5MB or less
Entry Fee: The entry fee is $35.00 for up to 10 images and$2 each for each additional image up to 20 images in total. Submission fees are not refundable. You can request to apply the $35 submission fee towards a CollexArt membership.
