We were intrigued by the thought provoking submissions and the various takes on the theme. Artists hailed from Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, India, Israel, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mexico, Panama, Portugal, the Russian Federation, Taiwan, United Kingdom, and the United States.
We are always looking for artists whose work we wish to promote and support.
Our Approach
As we consider work for inclusion in CollexArt, we are interested in the idea and concepts behind your work and its execution. Factors such as prior accomplishments, education, the creation date of the work are not relevant in our selection process.
What inspires our curiosity may be unique to us, and therefore, not being selected should not be seen as anything other than not a match for our current selection criteria and mix of reviewers.
Call Details for Boundaries
The term boundaries can encompass many subjects and be used in a variety of contexts. CollexArt seeks artwork that addresses the theme from an artist’s point of view. Artists are asked to submit work that emphasizes different visual, psychological, geographical or any other aspects related to the concept of a boundary that is evident in your work.
Artists who wish to be considered for our online exhibit space are encouraged to submit images that are part of the same body of work.
One artist will be awarded the Purchase Award at the conclusion of this call and entered as a finalist for the Annual Grand Prize. Submitting artists (including the Purchase Award Winner) may also be invited to have their own in-depth Artist Profile Page, have their work included in the CollexArt Store and in the curated Online Exhibit Space. Artists who get featured by CollexArt in this manner are entered as finalists for the Annual Grand Prize.
1. Purchase Award - Artists are invited to enter artwork for consideration for the Purchase Award.
2. The CollexArt Annual Grand Prize of $5,000 - identifies a single artwork as the best of the year. The Grand Prize will be awarded in March of 2021. A panel of jurors will consider artwork selected for CollexArt Exhibits, the CollexArt Store and Purchase Awards received through February, 28th 2021.
3. Complimentary top-level CollexArt Membership for all selected artists. Artists with this membership level can submit to CollexArt calls free of charge, and submit additional work throughout the year for consideration for the CollexArt Store.
Note: CollexArt charges an 18% commission fee for art sold through our Online Exhibits and the CollexArt Store.
Rules & Guidelines
Eligibility
Open to all USA and International artists 18 years and older
Accepting all original visual media excluding video and other time-based media
Accepted works must be priced for sale, marked as price on request, or not for sale
Submitted Work
All submissions must be original artwork conceived and produced by the artist
All submissions must be free from copyright infringement
If submitting photography any necessary release forms must be procured prior to submitting
Only digital files are accepted through the CollexArt submission system (powered by SubmitArts)
Images must be saved and submitted as JPGs
Images must be no larger than 2000 pixels on the longest side
Images must be 5MB or less
If you do not have a SubmitArts account you will establish one with your submission
Entry Fee
The entry fee is $35.00 for up to 6 images and $2 each for each additional image. Submission fees are not refundable. You can request to apply the $35 submission fee towards a CollexArt membership. Please note that CollexArt Membership level II and III participants do not have to pay a fee to submit work to CollexArt themed calls during the year.

Copyright
Artists maintain all copyrights to submitted works. Artists grant permission to CollexArt to use submitted images to promote the exhibition and CollexArt in the press, in CollexArt social media channels, and in the CollexArt website.
Submitted Work Image Usage Rights
By submitting work to this art call, artists grant CollexArt the right to use their images in the CollexArt website, SubmitArt’s Artist Promotion Pages, CollexArt social media outlets, and other venues used by CollexArt to promote its mission. Artists grant the use of their image(s) as stated without further contact or compensation from CollexArt. The artist’s name will be credited whenever practical.
