Artist Statement

Two driving forces converge in my unconscious, in contrast with each other: one pushes me towards order and the construction of human relationships, the other, dark, tends towards chaos, dragging me into dissolution. My painting is nothing more than the litmus test of this conflict. It follows that I consider art as a therapy for these
two selves to dialogue, transforming the contrast into a harmonious dance. Furthermore, painting taught me to never turn my back on passions.

Born in Naples on March 5, 1971, Emiliano Aiello graduated with a diploma from the State Art School of Naples in 1989. He earned a degree in Architecture with honors from the Federico II Faculty of Naples on December 14, 1999. In 2008, he completed a second-level university Master’s program in "Technology of Architecture" at the University of Rome La Sapienza, Faculty of Engineering.
