In this exhibit, Eric Tucker presents us with his sculptural pieces that are made out of simple geometric shapes. These sculptures, which are often hung on the wall or presented as hanging installations share the artist's clear attention to the interplay of light and shadow, subtle movement and/or perceived movement as the visitors position changes as they wander about experiencing the artwork.
The pieces are built using a minimalist wireframe construction and the artist introduces colors as a playful means to encourage interaction with the viewer whose own motion allows them to experience the interplay of the sculptural elements. It is this interaction, that allows the observer to visit the work again and again and find something new as the shadows, light, reflections and position of the objects change relative to the organic elements that surround them.
